Below are questions and answers to commonly asked questions regarding the Carson Animal Shelter protests.
Q: Are your protests non-violent?
A: Yes.
Q: Should I bring my own sign to your protest and if so what should I write on it?
A: There will be signs from previous protests as well as blank signs provided at the protests. However, since it is often difficult to determine how many people will be at the protest in advance, you should bring your own sign if possible. For ideas of what to write on protest signs, see images from the 2/19/2008 protest at http://lacdacc.blogspot.com/2008/02/carson-animal-shelter-protest.html.
Q: Instead of protesting, why don't you donate money or supplies or volunteer at the County's shelters and help the animals that way?
A: No amount of money, goods, or time donated will change the current situation at County shelters. Other citizens and myself have communicated violations of Department policy and procedure, Board of Supervisor policy and procedure, and State and Federal law to Department of Animal Care and Control management, County Counsel, the Board of Supervisors, and the CEO and these concerns have not been addressed or have not been adequately addressed. In addition to the current lawsuits against the Department of Animal Care and Control, it is necessary to proceed to the next step and protest to bring attention to this very serious issue.
Q: Will your protests drive away potential adopters from the Carson Animal Shelter?
A: No. It has increased awareness as many people who have stopped by our protest have told us that they will go rescue an animal from the shelter after learning about what goes on at County shelters.
Q: I'm unable to attend your protests on Saturdays. Can you host your protests on another day?
A: It's difficult to get people to attend during the week because of work and County shelters are closed on Sundays. Therefore, the only day we can host protests is Saturdays.

You must feel so much better now that you got all that off your chest. What will you do with yourself about being a dead weight, useless person to society I have to wonder. Actually, no - that would be a waste of my time.

Hey Danny! Nice to see that you are reading this blog! Don't you hate it when you have to work on the Saturday when there is a protest?
I am seeing that you are going back on the old blog entries and leaving comments. Well, at least we know you are somewhat literate.
You realize that the public are watching all six shelters and that your director and her deputy directors and anyone else who thinks they can break the law and get away with it will be held accountable don't you? It's just a matter of time. You just wait and see. All the animals you have killed and have mistreated will get their day in court.
